CE Instructions

Dear Members & Guests of WTPA,

The WTPA Board and I hope you enjoy your fellowship time and continuing education, while attending our 103rd Annual WTPA conference in San Antonio, Texas. As President of WTPA, I would like to “Thank you” for your continued support of West Texas Pharmacy Association. Without your support, it would be difficult to continue to provide 30 plus $1,000 scholarships, to our pharmacy students, on an annual basis. We hope that you continue to participate in our annual conferences. Please spread the message about all the wonderful accomplishments of WTPA with everyone you know in the pharmacy community. West Texas Pharmacy Association was organized in 1921, and it is one of the oldest pharmacy associations in the State of Texas. The three pillars of WTPA are Continuing Education, Fellowship, and Scholarship. Considering that our organization is on its 103rd year, we continue to have good participation from our members. I would like to challenge our members and students to bring another pharmacist or pharmacy technician with you to our annual spring conference, so that we can continue to enhance our organization’s memberships. I am pleased to report that the WTPA Foundation is growing at a steady rate; however, the market does impact our rate of growth. Our goal is to reach the $750,000 mark by the Spring Retreat of 2024, and we can easily obtain this goal thru donations to the WTPA Foundation, Spring Conference Donations, and Auction Revenue. West Texas Pharmacy Association operates as a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, and we accept tax deductible contributions to fund scholarships to qualified pharmacy students. A donation in the amount of $20,000 establishes an endowed scholarship and allows the donor and/or family to be honored in perpetuity. Finally, I would like to thank all the board members for all of their hard work and dedication to WTPA. I would like to thank all our student participants for your continued support and participation with WTPA, and we hope that you will continue to be role models to the profession of pharmacy after graduation. To all our WTPA members, it is a great honor and privilege to serve as your President, and I greatly appreciate your regular participation at our annual spring conference.

Chris Alvarado Pharm.D., R.Ph.

President

West Texas Pharmacy Association
